Volunteer From Home
Getting involved in the fight to end gun violence can feel daunting. You might be asking yourself questions such as: How can I be involved when I have a busy schedule? How can I help when I can’t make in-person events? What can I do beyond contacting my lawmakers? How do I even know what to say, or what the facts and data say?
Everytown has several opportunities available to volunteer from home that allow for flexibility while providing volunteers with the ability and skills to take their advocacy to the next level.
See below to see how you can volunteer from home to support gun violence prevention, including exciting upcoming ways to join the movement:
Happening now: Tell Congress to protect our veterans
The Trump administration just made it easier for veterans in mental health crisis to get their hands on guns—in the middle of a veteran suicide epidemic. On February 17, 2026, the Department of Veterans Affairs announced changes in policy and potential changes in federal regulations that will weaken our background check system and endanger veterans.
And if this wasn’t bad enough, extremists in Congress are working to make these changes law by passing the Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act.
Let’s be clear: This isn’t a technical fix: It’s an attack on our background check system that endangers at-risk veterans. Veterans are three times more likely to die by gun suicide than non-veterans, and this move removes a critical safeguard that has been in place for three decades.
While Trump’s attacks on public safety are designed to make us feel powerless, we’re not backing down. Together we can speak out to protect our communities and save veterans’ lives.
